Do I need any extra hardware?
No. Carvisor works with your phone's built-in microphone. An OBD-II adapter is optional on Plus and Pro for drivers who want live sensor data alongside the acoustic diagnosis.
How accurate is the diagnosis?
Every result comes with a confidence score, so you always know how certain the model is. Diagnoses improve over time as our reference library grows and as your vehicle's own sound history builds up.
Is Carvisor a replacement for a mechanic?
No โ think of it as the step before the mechanic. Carvisor helps you understand what's likely wrong and how urgent it is, and generates a mechanic-ready report so the visit itself is faster and cheaper.
Which cars are supported?
Carvisor is built to work across makes and models. Diagnostic depth improves for widely driven vehicles as the reference library grows, and every scan you run helps refine results for your specific car.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, you can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time. Your scan history and vehicle profiles stay with your account.
Can I use it while driving?
No. Record only when parked safely. Do not use the app in a way that distracts you while driving.
